FACILITATE is an Erasmus+ project designed to support the development and implementation of financial literacy training within adult education. The project brings together organisations from different European countries to create an internationally developed learning pathway aimed at both adult learners and adult education professionals.
The project seeks to strengthen the quality of financial literacy education across Europe by developing a transferable training model that can be adopted by adult education institutions. It focuses on improving the capacity of schools and training organisations to deliver effective financial literacy programmes, while providing learners with better guidance on the knowledge, skills and competences required to manage financial matters confidently.
FACILITATE also supports educators by developing their tutoring and coaching skills and by promoting non-formal and personalised learning approaches. Through these methods, the project aims to make financial education more accessible, practical and relevant to the everyday needs of adult learners.
One of the project's main results is an open online educational resource providing Financial Literacy Training materials and additional resources for adult learners, educators and training institutions across Europe. These resources are designed to support high-quality financial literacy education and remain accessible beyond the project's implementation period.
In addition, FACILITATE developed an Android mobile application for budget management. The application was designed for two different user profiles: individuals seeking support with personal budget management and entrepreneurs requiring a professional tool to assist with business-related financial planning.
